They've been writing cliffhangers and continuations for so long they forgot how to make actual endings
The voices of a thousand past mangakas begin to whisper: "And it was all a dream..."
"And the MC woke up. His teacher told him to finish his test in a non fantasy world. It was all a dream "
alternate ending “why do I feel compelled to make the mc lose everything they love?”
And then there's a sequel where the main character Brandon has a son named Blandon, who powercreeps the entire cast of the original show in a matter of days.
One piece: you can't have a bad ending if there's no ending
Lol. You forgot about the one that just forget to write a ending and just cancel the manga
“And the MC is now working a minimum wage job instead of saving the world like his dream job”
I swear if One Piece ends with them saying "The One Piece were the friends we made along the way ." I'm going to riot
Gege Akutami: "Approved"
"Ah. I finally did it. Every character went through their own ark, I've developed their relationship with their potential love interest, and the protagonist has finally reached his dream. Now how should I end it? I got it, I'll erase every change the protagonist made and have everything be exactly the same as ch 1."
That’s why ONE is peak. Making an extremely satisfying ending to Mob Psycho 100.
The mangaka for My Hero Academia was legitimately so sick of the Fandom, that the dude just wanted it to be done, the Fandom ruined his own work for him
The ending just being the entire main cast fucking dying
The worst part isn't even the endings being bad, its when you KNOW its conceptually good but was written in the absolute worst way possible
The Araki does it so well cause he only ends parts and not manga
"OH YEAH I GOT IT NOW!!!! HE LOSES HIS POWERS, HIS FRIENDS, NEVER TALKS TO HIS LOVE INTEREST AGAIN AND IS LIVING ON A TEACHER'S SALARY!!!! IM A FUCKING GENIUS!!!"
"AnD tHeN hE wAkE uP" OMFG for God's sake
"Let’s have the MC work a 9-5 job instead of achieving his dream in the final chapter." -probably the author
