As a kid, I can't believe that I even questioned whether or not this was Snake. It's literally his same exact face model from the tanker mission, only without the bandanna. This is on the same level as not recognizing Clark Kent without his glasses.

I love the detail of the sea lice crawling out from under snake, it's indirectly contradicting his lie of descending from a navy chopper. Snake came in the same way raiden did, swimming through the sea.

As a kid, i was expecting to switch back to playing as Snake at some point in this game but it never happened. When i was younger, the Raiden thing bummed me out a little. When MGS 4 came out, I truly appreciated Raiden as a character and as a grown up i'm glad they switched it up in MGS 2. Make the story pop in new and interesting ways
