I could watch Siouxsie move forever. She's mesmerizing
My first girl crush, had a huge poster of her in my room. 1980, wow, literally a lifetime time ago.
Nobody will ever come close to her styles she was and still is streets ahead of any female artist ever a pure genius
Siouxsie Sioux is the real Madonna or Lady Gaga. She did it all. And better. Such a great musician and band. They havent made one bad song.
Guess this explains where the band "Slowdive" got their name from.
The 1980's was the best decade to be young and alive EVER. I wouldn't swap it for the world ππ₯³πΎππ―
And this awesome song gave the name to one of my favorite bands.
I have been a heavy hip and rap fan since β79 or β80 but this group is one of my favourites. Absolutely stellar tracks from them over the years. I remember watching them on top of the pops performing Happy House and my dad was laughing at me for watching them he obviously didnβt understand brilliance. It just goes to show good music has no enemies.
"Gothic-Disco" at its best! Priceless :hand-green-crystal-ball: Being a fan from 1978 onwards she really took me/us on a marvellous journey - and she/they definitely knew when the party was over for S&Bs to bow out with grace, respect!
My female idol at 14. Now at 47...she will always be my Gothic Queen.
This woman Siouxsie I fell in love with her at thirteen I'm now fifty-five and remain in love with the Goddess π€ππ€
Yes it's true. Singer/guitarist Rachel Goswell of the British Shoegazer band SLOWDIVE confirmed she did in fact name her band after this S&B song.
Itβs a slowdive β when you die slow Oh itβs low jive β do the slowdive I like these lines so much, just amazing
Anyone else think this Banshees lineup with McGeoch was the most powerful band in the world?
I'm a 60's / early 70's rock lover really, but there were a few good tracks I really liked in this era, and this is one of them. Still good to listen to in 2025
Last track on A Kiss In The Dreamhouse album. Hugely underrated album.
Looked so divine in this era and the white streaks amplify that image so well. People rave about Madonna at that time, but there's no way that she could've tolerated what Siouxsie put up with on stage, nor have the gumption to stand up to it.
Love Stephen Budgie and John dancing on this song
makes me wanna get my haircut like hers and dye my hair black like I did when I was growing up in the 80's I was first introduced to Siouxsie when I was 16 in 86 by my best friends I'm so grateful for my best friend influenced me in so much awesome new wave gothic music!
