The best thing I did for my art process was to stop uploading my art on social media for a couple of years. Not intentionally or anything it just happened but it turned out to be really healthy in seeing what I actually wanted to make and whether or not I would still create art without the validation of others. I now mainly draw and paint for my own pleasure, furthermore with the rise of AI clogging up most social media there isn't much point of me returning anytime soon and I'm fine with that.
You have literally changed my outlook on art and the way I approach things. Thank You Bobby
When was in elementary school, I had a sketchbook for my art class and I would draw weird alien creatures and backgrounds in it. When drawing along and just making anything, it took me back to those days in art class :)
your storage of imagination is unimaginable
6:02 hi Carl
my art teacher has been a stickler for perfection in my class's sketchbooks, wanting full renders and colors. i've always hated it because there's been pressure on me, hindering me. hearing you tell me directly the opposite of that and seeing you just doodle whatever you'd like is so refreshing. thank you.
I like your sketches! You know, when we all were kids we didn't really think about what we drew, we just drew and then our drawings began to form its own beautiful shape and we also didn't care much what others will say about it, well except mom who said in any case "Oh sweetheart, it's so beautiful!" even if it was some really random lines and doodles :)
I'm still trying to find my footing and reconnect with my love for drawing, but I love this channel so much. You're almost like a modern Bob Ross.
Go back through them and give them backgrounds, textures, landscape and touch them up a little . When i was you i used to draw pinstriping and scroll engraving designs because they they start with a line and you can make it up as you go along they would be a good exercise to improve your lines too
Your videos have been my daily focus since Monday, got my sketchbook and fiber pens and have been drawing constantly from the moment I wake up till the time I close my eyes!! At 54 and retired through injury and finally conquering my battle with drug addiction I am at the happiest time I have been through for years and the past few days have been like being in a kind of dream state, like a dream at night. Thanks for the hard work you have put into the videos ❤
Man, you're calling me right out. I'm exactly what you're describing with my art. Gonna try your method in one of my many piled up, mostly empty sketchbooks.
Your drawings are just so beautiful!... Like literally, it shows freedom, involvement, intensity, beauty, all at once. The way you start to draw things and give them those appearances is just outstanding!... I love them...
you are one of the most wholesome, laid back art youtuber I've come across! you're so calming and your energy is contagious!
My main reason for not filling up my sketchbooks is usually because i don't want it to be finished lol.. when they're full, they can't be drawn in anymore, and then i won't have anywhere to put my ideas until i get a new one. Plus some of them are really nice and i want to be able to carry them around and doodle in them forever, heh
Se necesita más artistas terapéuticos como este tipo, la verdad
Please never stop posting. I highly enjoy your videos and LOVE your art. I always look forward to seeing your videos❤
6:47 my problem is motivation. I KNOW that I COULD draw really good if I put the effort and time into it, but I lack the energy to do so. The only thing that might help is getting new art supplies cuz that excites me enough to start drawing again.
I've been more creative and not scaring to do mistakes in my sketch because of you.❤
you made me love my art so much and stop looking at it as ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ but as what feels right and I’m so much happier now
