My first PS2 game was Ultimate Spider-Man. That game had a killer aesthetic that only gets better as the game goes on.
I love No More Heroes. It is a cool younger punk neighbor of Postal 2.
JSRF and Wind Waker are two of my favorite games of all time! Always glad to see them. I missed seeing some titles here, such as Cel Damage, but there's only so much time in the day. Good job as usual. Still waiting on that next malls episode.
Imagine, if it weren't cel shading, we wouldn't have something like Spider-Verse or Arcane.
Don't forget 'The Darkness II'. The first game went for a gritty, bleak mafia movie look but the sequel decided to go full cel shade making the entire game look like a moving comic book page which is why it's my favorite out of the two.
Cel Shading is on of my favorite styles in any format. I think they always aged like a fine wine. Another banger from HeavynSent
Dude everyone of your video drops get me buzzing!!!! Your whole persona is just soooooo chilled! So easy to relax and watch your videos man!
Your videos honestly deserve more views. I can definitely tell how much work you put into each vid. Keep it up man, I play your videos in the background while Im doing anything!
Auto Modellista was such a fun game, other than I was terrible at the driving 😂 love this
Wind Waker had the best vibes 😊
perfect for sunday evening
Always a good time when a video is HeavynSent. First cel shaded game I ever played was Fur FIghters: Viggo's Revenge on the Playstation 2 and for a hot minute after, cel shading was everywhere, and it was good. Another really great video with so many good shout outs; Viewtiful Joe, Wind Waker, Okami, XIII and Killer 7 are all stone cold classics. I have never played any of the others but they all look great and are on the life long list.
Love your videos and the sick ass music you use my dude.
Hell ya, love anotha heavyn vidddd
Another excellent video Heavyn
XIII is based on the belgian comic book in french language called "treize" (thirteen). And yes we need more JSR, take a look to Bomb Rush Cyberfunk! Nice vid as always!
Cel Damage (or a demo of it) was my first encounter with the style
Love your presentation and chill humor! I admit that though I was a teen and an ideal audience member during this era, due to financial reasons, I sadly was not able to tap into these games and these eras of games. Its a shame that I missed out on these eras, but with emulation and discussing my experiences with my friends, it feels like reliving a lost civilization and figuring them out.
Auto Modelista was a pretty cool game after you got the hang of the driving. Races felt like you were racing on ice but I must say art style straight 🔥
