Everybody dies.. And that's life.

Can't wait to catch The Monkey in theatres!

@geeker6350

Osgood Perkins is going to ensure that no-one ever hears this song in the same way ever again.

@judymcvey9005

I'm 82...loved this song then & still love it today. Today is Mardi Gras so I HAD to hear Shirley & Lee!

@dinahkyle3196

Osgood Perkins is about to make this song iconic for a whole new generation.

@richardcasperson7801

This is rhythm and blues, not rock and roll. Right out of New Orleans in the 1950โ€™s. I heard this first driving down College Avenue in Fort Collins, Co around 1956, or so. Windows down, two high school couples in a 1955 Pontiac singing at the top of our lungs. I heard this on Sirius radio in my car the other night. Had to park and listen. It had been 66 years.

@robertmusgrove4537

Iโ€™ve been hooked on this song ever since they started playing it in the monkey trailers, cannot wait till that movie comes out

@maryjanesala65

My mom caught me listening to this , and I thought my life was over.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@conniegordon2465

After all these years, I still smile when I hear this song, especially Shirleyโ€™s voice. Such a sweet sound.

@vivianramage7361

My Mom is 74 and she always played this music and taught me to "STROLL!" I love dancing today! โค

@vikkismith7497

When i listen to some of the modern day music, I don't know what I would do without the real music that I grew up with like this one here.

@MrThefox3

I had this blasting on the highway going home from work yesterday and got three thumbs up. People still love this music because it's the magic of "Rock and Roll"

@Imani_AM

One of my favorite songs! Their voices, the drum beat, etc. I could never get tired of this!! ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŽถ

@lesterhensley4017

Well I'm 82 I can say I lived though the best music ever.

@maggiewagner6950

Oh how this number reminds me of being an elementary child, visiting my sweet little friend from across the field, listening to music in her powder pink bedroom surrounded by her stuffed animal menagerie. Great music has resonance, that of which even young children find captivating and taken in by. Every time I hear this song it catapults me back to my childhood and the innocence that accompanies those distant days of wonder and of promise, and one of many that highlight the story of my life.

@anayaanaya1862

Iโ€™m 35 yrs old and I remember my grandpa ww2 vet used to play his records when I was a kid and tell me his early childhood stories except for his military days . How I miss my grandpa when I hear these songs. Love you Pops Semper Fi

@pobrepaco

I'll be 72 in September and I was blessed to be there at the start of greatest music genre---R&R!!!!!!

@bustabass9025

1956, I was five, having just started kindergarten that September. Where did the time go? The music sounds as good today as it did back then.

@hjonm9730

turned 75 two days ago. this tune, along with 'Over the Mountain, Across the Sea' by Johnnie and Joe
formed the foundation for my lifetime musical appreciation. thank you, musicians. I met Hank Ballard
at an L.A. blues club in the 1990's and thanked him profusely.
