Wrong move at that age IMO. I think jaw surgery should have been explored first. You may run into bone resoprtion issues early in your life in which case you will have to have the implant taken out and replaced with a bigger one. IMO implants are for older people who just need a slight change. But for drastic changes, you need to look at the anatomy of the jaw first to determine that there aren't any issues. You were clearly recessed. You may have a small airway as well.
