HoverRace by Grokksoft, 1995.

Available for free on Steam, this game was originally released in 1995 or 1996 (depending on where you look for information!).

One of the earliest online multiplayer games, this is best described as racing hovercraft bumper car that handles like a bar of soap, around particularly bouncy stages! There are 3 types of car, which you can select with left/right before the stage begins.

There's not many people online on this one now, but you can try some hotlaps and even make your own tracks! Here I do one lap of the default 12 tracks included in the game.

Graphics and sound are not very spectacular, but functional. Note: I recorded this in a window which I sized to 1280x720, as running at desktop size is even slower.
