Gachiakuta is a dark fantasy manga series written by Kei Urana and illustrated by Hideyoshi Andou. The story takes place in a dystopian world where the wealthy live in a floating city, while the poor are forced to survive in the slums beneath it. The protagonist, Rudo, is a young boy from the slums who is falsely accused of murder and cast down into "The Pit," a massive junkyard filled with discarded objects and monstrous creatures.

In this perilous wasteland, Rudo discovers a new power that allows him to wield "vital instruments," everyday items infused with special abilities. He encounters The Cleaners, a group of warriors who battle the grotesque beings born from society’s waste. Determined to uncover the truth behind his exile and seek revenge against the corrupt elites, Rudo embarks on a dangerous journey filled with intense battles, emotional struggles, and shocking revelations.

The Gachiakuta anime adaptation is being produced by Bones Film (known for "My Hero Academia") and is set to premiere in July 2025. The series features a distinctive graffiti-inspired art style, fast-paced action, and a gripping narrative that explores themes of social inequality, revenge, and redemption.
