Shinsei Galverse, an original anime, is set to evoke 90s nostalgia with a new key visual released just a week before its global premiere on June 25. The visual, created by director Ayaka Ohira, showcases hand-drawn artwork that captures the series' 90s anime and gyaru-inspired style within a sci-fi setting.

The anime will debut worldwide on June 25, 2025, on YouTube and major Japanese streaming platforms. Director Ohira shared her inspiration for the visual, stating, “I created this key visual while reminiscing about the thrill of browsing through rows of anime VHS covers at the video rental store as a child. I infused that same sense of wonder into the anime, and I truly hope everyone enjoys it.”

Earlier this month, a trailer was released, providing a glimpse of the anime's visual style. Directed by Ohira, Shinsei Galverse features art direction by Ryu You from Ogura Atelier (known for Ghost in the Shell).

The animation is produced by SoK, with a soundtrack composed by ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo, Panty & Stocking) and KAMIYA, who will perform the opening theme.

Shinsei Galverse is an original sci-fi OVA directed by Ayaka Ohira, focusing on Zero, a cosmic entity caught in an interstellar conflict across time and space. The project began as a fan-funded initiative.
