Tube by Bullfrog, 1995.

Freeware tunnel-based racing/shooting hybrid, made by a Bullfrog employee as a test of their skills (so the legend goes) and was then given away on free CD-ROMs attached to magazines like PC Gamer (UK) and PC Player (Germany).

Here I just have one go at the game, and, for the first time I remember, I got to the second level! Which then starts rotating by itself, confusing me into destruction!

I'm never quite sure what the numbers at the top represent. You have guns (space bar) and 3 smart bombs (return key) though. Steering is the ye-olde UK ZX Spectrum style control of using the QAOP keys! :-D
