Nuts 🥜 - High in protein which releases energy slower and longer lasting to give you more long-term energy.
Dried Fruit 🥭 - Contain "simple carbs" that can give you a boost of energy when needed.
Jerky 🥓 - Another great source of protein for those longer hikes.
Granola Bars 🌾 - Make sure to find the less sugar based bars but these contain a great mix of carbs and proteins.
Snickers 🍫 - Contain nuts AND sugars which are perfect for that last little bit of the hike (PSA: beware of the sugar crash!).
